Anyone remember who the artist is for our class song 'Friends'? Have a copy? Know someone who knows?
Hello!!!
Didn't Cindy Vandervort sing it? This is the only song that I can think of and it is one I always sing when thinking of our high school days throughout the years.
Single in 1971 by John Denver, Friends with You. But, if you can contact Cindy, she may be able to confirm it. Or, perhaps someone else can. If not the correct song, then I am sorry for leading you down the wrong path. I know she sang this song, but maybe not for graduation.....
I tried to search for a 'Friends' title song alone and this the only one I could come up with (of course since this one has been tramped in my brain and so it came to my mind immediately). Perhaps she only sang this in our choir concert.
What a friend we have in time
Gives us children, makes us wine
Tells us what to take or leave behind
And the gifts of growing old
Are the stories to be told
Of the feelings more precious than gold
Friends I will remember you, think of you
Pray for you
And when another day is through
I'll still be friends with you
Babies days are never long
Mother's laugh is baby's song
Gives us all the hope to carry on
Friends I will remember you, think of you
Pray for you
And when another day is through
I'll still be friends with you
Friends I will remember you,
Think of you, pray for you
And when another day is through
I'll still be Friends with You
Friends I will remember you,
Think of you, pray for you
And when another day is through
I'll still be Friends with You
